It has been a while since I posted but I promised to put pictures of our 6 day trip across the U.S. So here we go! The first day in I caught a tiny smile from Jake on camera-what a way to start things out! Jake did great on most of the trip. One day he was pretty fussy and we made a lot of stops that day but we did figure out how to keep him from getting to gassy for the most part while we drove.

This hotel (America's Best Value Inn) has a great story! I planned the trip to Virginia and I did not put this hotel on the list, however, during the trip we got to Missouri when our battery died.We got a jump but 10 minutes later we pulled into a parking lot with a dead battery, again. Luckily for us the parking lot was a Motel, even if the motel was a dump. I was a little sad that we didn't die 2 blocks back at the Days Inn but I shouldn't be picky, rather glad that we got to stay in a motel at all that night. Running through the rain we came inside and settled into the room. I had to include some of the pictures from the room because they made me laugh. This above picture is facial soap-not to be confused with the bath soap. (which is essentially the same thing but the package specifies for you)
Don't forget your 'nourishing shampoo'. Quality stuff here. Oh yeah, they forgot to fill the container back up from the last person who used it.
Sorry, I forgot to rotate this one before I loaded it. This soap dispenser was glued to the wall in the shower-just in case the soap bar wasn't enough. Oh yeah, it was empty.
The next day we discovered that we had a bad alternator. So here Isaac is fixing it up. It took him a total of one hour. He's awesome. Oh and he did it during a lightening storm. I should mention here that the night before when the car broke down we were planning on staying in St. Louis but never made it. That was also the night that the tornado touched down and tore up the airport. So maybe it was divine intervention that we didn't make it into St. Louis that night.

Living room.It was quite a trip and we enjoyed it, most of it. And now we're working on settling in. I found a sushi restaurant in town and hopefully we'll be able to try that this weekend.
One last thing.....It was my birthday on Wednesday, I'm 25 now!!!
